Pharmacokinetics vs Pharmacodynamics?
Pharmacokinetics describes how a drug moves through the human body, and it includes Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion (ADME).
Pharmacodynamics describe the human body’s response to a drug, from a biological, physiological and molecular perspective.
Biodistribution studies determine how a drug might transfer to other parts of the body, intended and unintended. Clearance measures the rate at which a drug exits the blood. Both provide valuable insight on how to best maximize a drug’s positive effects and minimize its negative effects.
